Drones in Pandemic Times

Drone transport services and data collection could be of great help to prevent and control coronavirus spread.

Here are just some examples of UAS deployment in anti-virus efforts.

BBC reports that Spanish police use drones to enforce movement restrictions. According to gpsworld.com, Japanese company Terra Drone is employing its UAS to transport medical samples and quarantine supplies in China. Wall Street Journal says about drones spraying disinfectant over South Korea.

This video below features the alignment meeting on the topic of UAS deployment for emergency response that took place in the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry for Emergency Situations (15Jan, 2020 / Minsk, Belarus). It was taken in the pre-virus times but the current pandemic makes the topic of it as relevant as never before.
